Today Matt talks to Marc O’Brien, co-founder of Climate Designers, a global network of designers using their talents to push the world toward a more sustainable future. This episode covers design and business’ roles in fighting climate change, what that means for companies’ bottom lines, punk rock influences, and much more.
Marc O’Brien is a climate designer, strategist, and educator. He’s the co-founder of The Determined, a creative studio for a climate-resilient world. They help organizations addressing our climate crisis with branding, messaging, marketing, and innovation strategy. Marc is also adjunct faculty at California College of the Arts in San Francisco, CA.
One of his latest projects is climatedesigners.org, a hub for designers and creative professionals from all industries, committed to using our creative skills for climate action. Marc actually teaches a class on climate design at CCA.
He’s excited to talk about design and climate, how creativity can address global warming, and how designers can take climate action in the work they do.
